An exercise he recommends is to start your day by listing 10 things you are thankful for. I do this frequently and Andy is right. As you actually write down the things in life that you are thankful for, it's impossible to be anxious, worried or sad. Seemingly simple things like life, health, family, home, money, friends, clothing, food, pets, and freedom we often take for granted. If you break those 10 down into more specifics you can see how really blessed you are. Instead of a sense of lack, you now have a sense of prosperity because it is all about gratitude.

The person Andy uses in his book, The Traveler's Gift, to demonstrate the decision to be happy is Anne Frank. As we meet Anne in the annex where her family is hiding from the Nazis, she is excited about the sunshine she can see through a tiny bit of window. She is grateful for the meager food that is brought to her family. She is grateful for the love she experiences in her hideout. So we find ourselves thinking, if Anne Frank can find reasons to be grateful, certainly I can too.

Now let's take this idea of gratitude into the Law of Attraction arena. According to the Law of Attraction, we get more of whatever we give our attention, energy and focus to. So if you are giving your attention, energy and focus to the blessings in your life, you will receive more of these blessings. Isn't that a truly refreshing and uplifting thought?

Right now, write down at least 10 things that your are thankful for in your life. Don't you feel a greater sense of prosperity already? I certainly do every time I do this exercise. Our creator desires to give us good things out of the abundance in creation. You may be looking for better results in some area of your life. By being grateful for opportunities, people, and experiences, I have been able to take my life to a higher level of prosperity than I ever dreamed I could. You can too. Give me a call. Meanwhile, remember that prosperity is all about gratitude.

To Your Greater Prosperity,
Sandra Hayes

To contact Sandra or Ed,
Call 803-364-3918

Words To Live By... It can be immobilizing for one person and yet it can be exhilarating for another person. Bottom-line is that fear is based on the past, or the future, or a combination. Usually we are remembering a past similar experience and worried about repeating that pain, or embarking on a future unfamiliar experience and expecting the worst, or we are combining the two. Fear affects the present by limiting us, and yet it is based on the past and the future which are both non-existent. Yesterday, or the previous moment is already gone and history, and tomorrow, or the next moment never actually arrives. In a sense, the fear is all in our own minds. Part of the thrill of sky-diving, or making an investment, or doing something new is breaking through the fear at the on-set. The second part of the thrill is seeing that you not only survived, but often thrived as a result.
We ALL, as human beings experiencing life, have fears and doubts. Whether a person is wealthy, poor, thin, heavy, male, female, single, married we all have fear or doubt at times. The real division is along the lines of SUCCESS. Those people who are successful have developed courage to take ACTION even in the face of FEAR. One of my friends is a successful motocross racer. I ride dirtbikes too, but she is successful with motocross because she took ACTION to jump, to turn on the throttle, and to take a few falls, despite all of her FEAR. All of my own successes can be attributed to overcoming fear also. I enjoy a lot of time freedom and being able to home-school my teen-age daughter because I took ACTION to start a home-business and walk away from my teaching career despite my FEAR .
Taking action is the key to overcoming fear. That’s worth repeating…Taking ACTION is the key to overcoming FEAR. The biggest mistake is just waiting for the fear to disappear and then take action. It’s the action itself that is the answer to the fear. I recently watched a presentation by T. Harv Ecker on this topic. He reminds me that it unnecessary to eliminate our fears in order to succeed. It is only to keep taking action regardless of fear. How is courage developed? It takes practice, practice, practice. Practice taking action even when you have fear, doubts, worry, discomfort, or perceived challenges. The more you do this, the more ABLE you are to do this. I still have fears which arise, but I have learned to be more comfortable with the feeling. The feeling I fondly call my “pee your pants” feeling. Not the bad feeling that arises when you are doing something bad or morally wrong, but the feeling when you are on the edge of something that pushes your level of confidence. I have learned over the past several years that this is where my biggest, and most enjoyable growth and success has come from. Whenever I feel that ‘pee your pants feeling’ I know the reward is on the other side of action and just around the corner.
Sue Kent
www.Forward-Momentum.com
661-435-7835

Here are a few quotes that may inspire - Courtesy of Lynn Toth

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_83diAPrmbPc/Ru2cHUc6EII/AAAAAAAAAEE/7a_JYFfpgnw/s200/Lynn+Blog.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5110912801698353282" />
Life takes on meaning when you become motivated, set goals and charge after them in an unstoppable manner. ~Les Brown

I dream for a living. ~ Steven Spielberg

Life is a succession of moments, To live each one is to succeed. ~ Corita Kent

Age is strictly a case of mind over matter, if you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter. ~ Jack Benny

Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right. ~Henry Ford

Abundance is not something we acquire, it is something we tune into. ~Wayne Dyer

Don’t curse the darkness . . . light a candle. ~ Chinese Proverb

My Mama always said, Life was like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get. ~ Forrest Gump

Why me . . . It does not support life. Water flows into the Dead Sea from the Jordan River but there is no outlet. The incoming water simply evaporates which keeps the concentration of salt and other minerals too high for anything to live there. I call this the Dead Sea Concept.

This concept also applies to many areas of life. Think of calories, possessions, money and even love. Let's focus on money. Money is energy and has the power to transform our world. The most efficient process for attracting an abundance of money into your life is to have a plan for where it is going. If you simply hoard it, it becomes toxic and loses its power to support life, just like the Dead Sea. Think Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol.

However, if you have plans to tithe, invest, and make purchases with your money, it suddenly becomes vibrant and energetic. It causes us to feel emotions such as gratitude and enjoyment. It also brings about the same emotions in others. The people who receive our gifts also have gratitude, enjoyment and new hope for achieving something previously not possible. The companies we invest in now have the ability to accomplish more for themselves and our world. The merchants we purchase products from also prosper. Do you see how powerful our wealth is?

As you set goals for achieving more abundance in your life, remember the Dead Sea Concept. Have a plan for money to flow into as well as out of your life and you will be amazed at the changes you see. You will be able to contribute more to the world than you ever imagined. Would you like to be part of a business and a community who live this way everyday? It's about all of us becoming more abundant everyday in everyway.

To Your Abundance,
Sandra Hayes

Be - Do - Have / Sue Kent's Success Success Principle

Most people in our society follow a principle in their lives called HAVE-DO-BE. People who follow this principle can be heard saying things like: “If I had more time, I’d take my family on a vacation.”, “If I had more money, I’d start a business of my own.” “If it weren’t for my boss, I’d be making more money.” “If I only had …then, I’d be happy.” “If I only had a nice car, I’d have more sales.” “If I only had parents with money, then I’d be wealthy.”
I heard a statistic recently that 97% of people at age 65 are either dead or broke. Yes…in this land of opportunity many people have less money at retirement than they did at age 20!
Many people are working harder, and longer, and getting further behind. It’s not so much about not knowing how to work hard for something, but more about people make their decisions. If you asked most people what they would like to do if they had more time in their life they say things like wanting to travel, and yet a very small percentage of people even have a passport. 54 Billion dollars was spent on lottery tickets in 2005. Which group of people do you think will be more likely to travel the world? The ones with $60 of lottery tickets or the ones who took action to buy the passport?
All you have to do is search on-line, pick up a newspaper or a magazine and see that there are people becoming millionaires every year, and the numbers are growing each year. 600,000 people entered the ranks of millionaire last year alone. There are about 430,000 US households that have a net worth of 10 million and up. Many of these people did not inherit their fortunes, they are self-made millionaires…you can read the stories all around. What is the difference, the thing that these people have learned and are doing to get these results?
Instead of living by the HAVE-DO-BE principle, they live by BE-DO-HAVE. This principle says that in order for you to HAVE something, you must first take on the role and vision of already having it. For example: If your goal is to be a millionaire then every choice you are given on a daily basis you must ask yourself the question: If I was already a millionaire what would I choose…
BE-DO-Have is about BEING the ideal person you want to be first, DOING what that person would do, Then you will HAVE what that person has.
If you wanted to become a millionaire you might study the lives of other millionaires you admire and strive to implement their qualities in your life. You might even ask yourself in times of indecision what that person would do, and how they would act in your given situation. So when you are faced with a difficult decision where you are not sure if you have the money or time or whatever to take advantage of a situation that will move you forward, simply take the position of already being the millionaire and make your decisions from that vantage point.
It’s really not a difficult concept. Here’s a personal example that might shed some light. I wanted to raise some money for a great cause after watching a young friend go through a harrowing health experience and bone-marrow transplant. I found an organization that I could raise donations with by running a marathon. There was one problem…I was NOT a runner…I hated running, and could barely run ¼ of a mile. How was I ever going to run 26.2 miles? However, my desire to help a good cause and to complete a marathon was very strong and I took the challenge. In order to accomplish this I first had to envision myself as BEing a marathon runner will full confidence and purpose. Over the ensuing 4 months I learned what marathon runners had to do to train for a successful run. I ate what marathon runners ate. I trained on a set schedule that marathon runners follow to build up to a race. I ran EVERY day for a pre-scribed amount of time, for a pre-scribed distance, at a pre-scribed pace. I ran EVERY day…even when I felt I lacked the strength. I associated with other runners who had completed marathons, I learned from them, I did the things they did, I used the running shoes, socks and shorts they used, I trained mentally the way they did, and I BEcame a marathon runner. I told everyone what I was doing. As people saw me BE and DO all these things, they eagerly supported the cause with me both financially and emotionally. Finally, the day of my race came. I finished the entire race and did it very well. I was able to HAVE the joy, thrill, satisfaction, and distinction of being less than 1% of the population that has run a marathon. In fact, I finished 2 marathons and raised over $9000 for leukemia and lymphoma research in the name of my young friend who taught me so much with the valiant way he approached his struggle.
This is how the BE-DO-HAVE principle works. Whether you believe it, or not, you are living either DO-BE-HAVE or BE-DO-HAVE. Which one is it?
In the area of money, it could mean the difference of being dead broke or wealthy for your own retirement at 65. What other differences could it make in your life?
Sue Kent
www.ForBigThinkersOnly.biz
www.WealthBySue.com
E-mail: Sue@Forward-Momentum.com
Phone 661-435-7835

Retired from the Military, Ed Hayes now Lives a Life of Abundance

http://militaryretirees.blogspot.com/
Retired and Blessed
An Insider’s View
September 10, 2007

Considering we retired from the USAF in 1994, Ed and I feel qualified to discuss our insider's view of being retired and blessed.

People who choose the United States military as a career are a special breed. If you are like us, you believe in our country and the freedom we seek to provide for everyone. You probably like to travel, meet new friends, learn new things, and try new adventures. Maybe you are still able to do these things in your retirement and maybe not.

Our life took on a new look after Ed's retirement. For one thing, we both worked for employers who paid us for our time and wouldn't consider giving us 30 paid days of leave a year. There isn't much room for adventure in corporate America either. Another thing, most work takes place within the confines of their turf and under their policies. Also, it was difficult for us to remain creative and adventurous working 11 hour-days catering to someone else's agenda.

Given that we are still young and healthy, we want to enjoy our lives free of financial and time constraints. Our friends said, "Good luck." Well, we don't believe in luck, we believe in taking action and making things happen. We are grateful and blessed to live in a country where freedom reigns. It would discredit our forefathers if we settled for mediocrity. We teamed up with people just like us who are persistent, adventurous, and who take responsibility for their own circumstances. Every day we wake up with a purpose.

Knowing who you are and where you are going is the key to success in any area of life. As military retirees with an insider's view, we continue to build on our active duty experiences. As we enjoy the freedom to live life on our terms, we are blessed to be able to provide a way for others to achieve the freedom they want and deserve.

To Your Success and Freedom,
Ed and Sandra Hayes
www.askmred.com
1-800-852-7695

Nike Women's Marathon for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Dear Friends,

It's with great excitement that I tell you I am training to run in the Nike
Women's Marathon for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as a member of Team In
Training (TNT). The marathon will be in San Francisco, CA, on Sunday, October
21st, 2007.

Team In Training is the world's largest endurance sports training program. The
program provides training to run or walk marathons and half marathons or
participate in triathlons and century (100-mile) bike rides. Since 1988, more
than 300,000 volunteer participants have helped raise more than $700 million.

I'll be training and racing in memory of my nephew, TJ, who lost his battle to
Leukemia in 1999. I am also racing for our honored teammates in Arizona and for
all individuals battling Leukemia and other blood cancers; these people are the
real heroes. To help them, I've committed to raising $3,600, but my true goal is
to more than triple that amount. This is where I need your help.

In return for my dedication to this event, and to all sufferers and survivors
with blood cancers, I'm asking for your support by making a contribution. This
disease will affect over 100,000 lives this year and is the leading cause of
death in children between the ages of 1 and 14.

Absolutely any amount will help... It all adds up! 75% of all monies collected
go directly to research. The remaining 25% pays for LLS operation costs and
putting on the event itself.

Please use the link in this email to donate online quickly and securely. You
will receive a confirmation by email of your donation.

1) Go to my very own personal TNT training page:
http://www.active.com/donate/tntdms/tntdmsTPenman
Click on "Donate now to help me reach my goal" (upper right side of page)

I plan on meeting my goal by August 31st, 2007; however, I will be accepting
donations until October 31st, 2007. The sooner I meet my fundraising goal, the
better I can focus my energy on preparing for the marathon. I also encourage
you to pass on this letter (or the URL above) to anyone else you feel may be
interested in helping this cause. Whatever amount you can give will help -
every penny counts!

On behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, thank you very much for your
support.
